Hello, Nissan

Yesterday we traded in our Accord and upgraded to a new Nissan Rogue. We couldn't be happier. We were starting to feel extremely cramped in our old car and definitely did not want to drive it on our upcoming 1,600 mile move. I have grand dreams of going snow tubing, something I've been dreaming of since my wedding weekend (and wasn't able to due to a blizzard), so we went with an AWD model to ensure it would drive well in the winter. It has a ton of features I've never had on a car before or even realized I would want on a car, but they are pretty awesome. We have auto-dimming rear view mirror, lane departure warning, back up camera and much more.

And did I mention that the IIHS just rated it a "Top Safety Pick+"?

"To qualify as a Top Safety Pick, a vehicle must earn good ratings in the the moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint evaluations, plus a good or acceptable result in the small overlap front test. To receive the additional Plus rating in 2014, it must also have a basic, advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention."

Long story short, we love it! I've already installed kick mats (to keep the kids' shoes from ruining the backs of the front seats) and a storage bin to put in between the girls' car seats for some books and toys. Next on my "to buy" list is rubber floor mats and a head rest mount for my tablet so the kids can watch movies on our road trip.
